More Ways to Earn CEUs:
We provide continuing education to California licensed MFTs and LCSWs. At CEUCafe, you have more options for earning CEUs:

Option 1: You can select materials that suit your unique learning objectives by choosing any book, journal article, or audio/video material that relates to the MFT or LCSW scope of practice. Submit the material that you want to use on our simple on-line form, then complete a few brief essay questions online. Your certificate will be available within hours.

Option 2: Select one of our online courses. We currently offer Aging & Long-Term Care, Law & Ethics, and Treating Childhood and Adolescent Depression. Simply download the course, and complete the online post-test after you have reviewed the material. Your certificate will be available as soon as you pass the test!

Option 3: Choose a course based on a preselected book. We now offer courses on Violence in the Home, which meets the BBS requirement for 7 CE hours in the area of Spousal or Partner Abuse; Human Sexuality: Sexual Healing, and Human Sexuality: An Exploration of Identities, Behaviors, and Society, both of which meet the BBS requirement for 10 CE hours in the area of Human Sexuality; The Guide to Living with HIV Infection, which meets the BBS requirement for 7 CE hours in the area of HIV/AIDS; and Essentials of Clinical Supervision, which meets the BBS requirement for 6 CE hours in the area of Supervision. Read the book, and then take the online post-test. Your certificate will be available as soon as you pass the test!

Calculating CEUs:
For self-selected material, CEUs are awarded at the following rates:

• Books - 40 pages = 1 CEU
• Journal Articles - 5 pages = 1 CEU
• Audio/Video Tape, CD, DVD - 1 hour = 1 CEU

Note to Pre-licensees:

The BBS requires additional coursework prior to obtaining licensure as an MFT or LCSW. Candidates for LCSW licensure can obtain all pre-licensure coursework from a BBS approved continuing education provider. Candidates for MFT licensure can obtain selected coursework from a BBS approved continuing education provider. (Eligible coursework for each license is noted in parentheses below.)

• Human Sexuality - 10 hours(LCSW and MFT)
• Child Abuse Assessment and Reporting - 7 hours (LCSW and MFT)
• Alcoholism and Substance Abuse - 15 hours (LCSW only)
